About Us
Jack and Kevin embarked on their Wexford adventure, diving into the coastal rhythms and gaining deep insights into the land-sea connection. They mastered the time-honoured salt-making process, from collecting pristine seawater to patient evaporation, yielding the purest sea salt crystals.
Our Values
Environment
We use 100% off-grid renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar power, to produce our salt. The salt is also packaged in reusable containers and uses eco-friendly materials, such as recycled and biodegradable components.
Product
We pride ourselves on our salt's taste and health benefits. Our salt is delicious, solar evaporated and hand-harvested with no washing, no bleaching, no post-harvest treatments and no anti-caking agents.
People
We prioritize the well-being of our customers and our local community. Partnering and supporting local markets and restaurants is essential to the survival of small locally owned businesses, and Wexford Sea Salt are proud to be a part of that.
How We Got Here
2019
Kevin & Jack envisioned the foundation of Wexford Sea Salt, driven by a passion for the qualities and health benefits of naturally produced sea salt.
2020
Many different production methods were tested by setting up small-scale solar evaporations unit at home. Soon, the process was perfected.
2021
Kevin & Jack gave samples of their natural sea salt and jars of their infused flavours to family and friends.
2022
County Wexford, with its rich heritage and beauty, became the heart and soul of their brand identity. Kevin & Jack collaborated with their friends to develop their logo and packaging.
2023
They moved their production closer to the beach, proudly constructing their one-of-a-kind production ponds in Blackwater, Co. Wexford.
Our Team
With the marriage of Jack’s passion for food and natural flavours and Kevin’s technical skills, they embarked on a mission to create a sustainable and environmentally responsible sea salt production company.
Kevin, a Wexford born Architectural Technician with an eye for design, saw the potential to build unique evaporation ponds which drew on traditional sea salt marches found in warmer climates of
France and Spain, while keeping in mind the Irish weather.
Jack, with his culinary prowess inhaled a love of natural ingredients from his mothers and
grandmother’s kitchen in Poland. Fostered in the Polish countryside and enhanced on the Wexford coastline. Jack had always been captivated by the flavours and nuances that sea salt could bring to his dishes.
